Unsaturated oils oxidise. Rosehip is one of the fastest, which is exactly why we press in small runs rather than filling a year of stock in January. The date on the base of the bottle is the press date, not a guess.

What to do with the bottle at home

Cap it tightly, keep it out of the bathroom window, and use it within six months of opening. If it smells sharp or waxy rather than nutty, it has turned — bring it back and we will replace it.
